The best hotel in Tyrol, Austria, if you are looking to travel with your dog/s 🐶. The 5 Paws 🐾 Hotel is reknown for its superb Service, wellness area and outside pool, as well as the 5* food. They also offer hikes and walks with dogs and are just professionals when it comes to a hotel wellness holiday with your four legged friend. You will not regret enjoying this unique vacation destination.
If you want to take your beloved dog on holiday with you but still have the luxury of hotel facilities then this is the place to go. Fabulous setting with lovely grounds, plenty of space all around for your dogs. ||Dogs are around the pool, …
The whole concept of the hotel is absolutely amazing. Everyone can find something for themselves, within, as well as around the hotel. The dogs are not only welcome, as is the case in some other hotels; the hotel is made for dogs. There is a dog playground (fenced), a separate room for washing/drying your dog (free to use), blankets at the restaurant entrance, for your dog to lie on... Every detail is very well thought through and shows how welcome dogs really are. The wellness offer is very nice, good choice of messages and cosmetic treatments, nice sauna area, and a small inner pool that leads to the outside, bigger one (where dogs are also welcome).
The food was absolutely amazing every evening, and we found the choice extraordinary, both during the buffet dinner and the 4-meal one (vegetarian friendly menu, meat-lovers, fish-lovers...).
Special highlight of the hotel is the staff. Everyone from the reception, bar, restaurant, to room service showed an extremely high level of friendliness, kindness and understanding. The rooms were specially clean (bed sheets changed, floor cleaned daily, dog bed cleaned), as the hotel puts the cleanness of the whole property very high up on the list of priorities, considering the amount of dogs that run through the hotel daily (during our visit there were around 70 dogs 😁).
The location is excellent for all nature lovers. Hiking trails are all around, cycling possibilities are endless (bikes are available at the hotel, together with the trailors for dogs) and walking around and having a picnic on a calm day is always a very nice option too. In winter, this area is also very suitable as a startpoint for skiing, especially considering the fact that the hotel offers dog-sitting services.
One of our favourite events was the wine tasting with the Senior Chef Gottfried, where we had a chance to taste various Austrian wines in his wine cellar. This was, of course, accompanied by many interesting stories and information. The wine tasting was done in German - I am not sure whether it is available in English.
All in all, I would highly recommend the hotel to all dog owners. We felt pampered and taken care of, and the vacation was completely stress free (as it should be, but it is not always when travelling with a dog). We can't wait to be back!
An extremely dog friendly hotel for dog lovers. At the hotel, dogs have no boundaries. They are welcomed everywhere, including the outdoor pool side. The hotel is well equipped for dogs, including bowls in the rooms and throughout the hotel, blanket at dining areas to lay on, towels at the entrance to clean up, dog shower/dryer facilities, agility playground with a shallow pool (which water is changed everyday), a pond in the garden where dogs can have a dip. Food at the hotel is also great, and every morning you get information on hiking suggestions and program of the day. The reasons why i am giving it a 4 stars not 5 was because 1. There were way too many flies through out the hotel, including in at the dinner table. It’s kinda ruin your appetite sometimes. I do think the hotel should put more effort in keeping the flies out instead have accepting it. 2. Everything was in German. I felt like the only foreign guest at the hotel. This also means you may miss out the programs the hotel provides including a vet seminar, dog trainer seminar, and all the tips on the day. 3. There was absolutely no air-con in the room and the house is probably designed to keep the warmth in. On the hot days, it gets very difficult to sleep (visit in a different season?)
Overall I really appreciate the existence of the hotel! What a doggy/dog-mom’s paradise.
Great place, where dogs are most important guests. Familiar atmosphere, perfect service. Palatschinkas, prepared for breakfasts are pieces of art.
We've stayed the forth time at Magdalena's and were again very pleased. We especially enjoyed the great meals, an overhanging buffet for breakfast each morning, a smaller, but satisfieing snack bar in the afternoon and alternating buffets …
First, let me write about the best fact of the hotel, then I will go into the other details: ||||One day our dog escaped from the room, and wandered outside the street. Immediately the reception noticed it and brought our dog back into the …
